A Change of Lifestyle Submitted into: Miracles of Healing & Health Category, On: 2010-02-07 20:20:27 I will tell you that I really believe that I was born to be a chiropractor and that I was also born to be a mother and a wife. I grew up in a family that utilized chiropractic care from when I was little and when I went to high school, I met the man of my dreams and he was from a family that hadn’t embraced a natural form of health care. He had taken lots of prescriptions, steroids and antibiotics of all kinds for all sorts of illnesses and he was an athlete. He was smart and funny and when I was in my last year of chiropractic school, he was diagnosed with cancer. At that time I had learned a lot of things beyond chiropractic into all the forms of natural healing. I also knew that medical intervention was necessary. Medicine had really taken its toll on him and he went a conventional route to treat his cancer and also in addition we needed to make some radical changes in our lifestyle to change all the years of accumulated damage from the prescriptions and really his whole lifestyle. What we found was that in addition to the radical stuff that we had to do through medicine, the amazing things and the return of his health came from the great things like getting adjusted, good nutrition, great exercise and rest. That was in 1995 and I am happy to report that my husband is my miracle and I am blessed everyday that we made a decision to change our lives and to live this way dedicated to health and wellbeing and that I am so blessed that he is with me today and we are blessed with children, a happy home and a wonderful life.
