I wanted to let you know the power of the "Expect A Miracle" card.

In January of this year, my husband Anthony was diagnosed with stage 3 stomach cancer. Horrific and completely devastating news.

We got about 150 "Expect A Miracle" cards and I figuratively and literally put them everywhere ... about 5 in each room, in the kids lunchboxes, their music bags, sports bags, bus passes, in the cars, my gym bag, handbags ... literally everywhere as a reminder to "Expect A Miracle".

We all saw them constantly, our conscious minds and our sub-conscious minds. Our eyes saw them and I personally zoned in on them and prayed for a miracle.

Anthony went through awful chemotherapy and spent 3 weeks in hospital and nearly died, and still we soldiered on living our lives in some sort of fractured new reality.

After a while though, I stopped seeing them (even though they were still there), almost seeing through them. They had become part of the landscape of our daily life.

Two months after Anthony came home from hospital, he had a CT scan and PET scan to see what the cancer was doing. I was working and unable to go to the Oncologist with Anthony to hear what the outcome was.

I came home from work and noticed that one of the "Expect A Miracle" cards had fallen from its spot onto the floor. I picked it up and read it and put it back in its spot.

At that same moment, Anthony rang from the doctor to tell me that the cancer was a non-active malignancy and whatever he had been doing in the previous 2 months, to keep doing it!

We expected a miracle and that miracle happened!
