Never Give Up

Hallelujah!

Never give up.

Keep on persisting.

Hold onto your dreams.

For years I encouraged my wife to exercise.

For years I shared with her the benefits of regular exercise.

For years it is true that on occasions I tried to manipulate and shame her into exercising.

All the while, not doing much of that myself.

Imagine my surprise when four months after diligently going to yoga five days per week, she decided to join me.

Not because I was encouraging her, shaming her, giving her information. No, it was because she saw a shift in me,

more than just physical, that was interesting and attractive to her.

Now the quality and quantity of her exercise exceeds mine, and I find myself inspired to do more by her example.

I rediscovered something I knew for a long time already; "people here what you say, but they see what you do".

The power of our example to others is typically far more effective than what we can ever say. The joy of exercising

together is like a fresh fruit on the tree of our marriage.

And the miracle of love is in season.
