At 19 Look Where I Am At

I was lucky enough to be born into a family with loving parents and siblings … something that 143 million children have never had the privilege of experiencing.

I was raised in a home where I could expect 3 large meals a day … 1.1 billion people are either without suitable housing or have no place to call home, whilst 925 million are starving.

I spent 13 years in private schooling … whilst 125 million children in the world are illiterate.

I’ve travelled around the globe twice over getting to experience some of the most bizarre, exotic and breathtaking adventures this world has to offer … yet around 60% of Australians have never left the country.

I have been able to represent my country in gymnastics overseas after having the privilege of having all my training fees paid for … and African children have to settle with having to use tumbleweed to play a game of soccer.

There are times I’ve been a selfish person! But, through my experiences I have learnt to not take my opportunities for granted.

Dr John Hinwood has helped me realise that I’m not late in the game of expecting miracles … because if you look at my life, there has been an abundance of miracles which I am now grateful for every day.
