And Something Dropped Out

My friend June and her husband Norm loved living in the Adelaide Hills. Everything about the lifestyle, the weather and their large organic garden suited them. But things changed dramatically when Norm died of cancer.

Major decisions had to be faced and adopted. During this time, June had her own health problems. Her family felt it timely for her to move closer to them, and she hesitantly followed their advice, which meant a move to a flat in the uninspiring Northern suburbs, leaving behind the cool refreshing hills and her many of her like-minded friends.

These changes accelerated a downturn in her physical and mental health which led to serious depression. After some years she still  struggled to accept that this was where she would spend her remaining time – so this was “it” she realized. There seemed no way out.

However, somewhere along the track, as she was opening some birthday cards and something dropped out of one of the envelopes. She picked it up and glanced at it idly. The print on it surprised her and she smiled wryly – “EXPECT A MIRACLE” it said…….. A bit weird?

From then on it was actually the start of a surprising change for June. Some old friends had moved into a complex in the Adelaide Hills, a different area from where she used to live but perfectly suitable. There was even a vacant unit available close to her friends. One thing followed another and much to Junes amazement, in a short time, the deal was done and she found herself unpacking her goods and chattels into a unit only 2 doors away from theirs.

Overwhelmed, she couldn’t believe that this had come about so easily and smoothly. What a miracle!

Grateful thanks to Dr Clinton McCauley at Body Care Chiropractic in Mount Barker, South Australia for sharing his “miracle” cards with his clients.
