Quality of Life for Myself and My Son

My miracle story is I was a single Mom with 2 little boys (4 and 6 years old) and had just started my career as a Chiropractic Assistant.

One of the benefits of working in a chiropractic office was that we were given the opportunity of bringing our children in to have them checked. And I thought to myself, my children are healthy little boys, but what a great opportunity.

My little guy wet the bed, now this isn’t earth shattering, but I wondered how many mothers go through what I went through everyday. I thought he was going through the trauma of my divorce and that he was emotionally upset and wet the bed.

So every morning I would wake him up in the morning, put him in the bath-tub, take the linen off the bed and put them in the washing machine. Take him to the baby-sitter, come home at night, put the linen in the dryer and remake his bed. This was my life.

When I took him to the chiropractic office to get checked. I wrote on the history form that he wet the bed since the age of 3. I could not imagine that chiropractic would help.

He received chiropractic care and he just blossomed with the love, attention and caring he got in the office. It was good for him to feel like they cared about him and wanted to help him. And he wanted to please them and through chiropractic adjustments he was getting almost immediately better.

As a Mom going through the daily routine of that, after 3 to 4 weeks, I was only washing his linen 2 days. And then after about 6 weeks he rarely had an accident. I contribute that to chiropractic and although it is not an earth-shattering miracle, it was a miracle for my boy and a wonderful improvement in a quality of life for me as a Mom. For a little boy he was humiliated and embarrassed that he had this thing that he did not want anybody to know about.

He is about to turn 40 years old this year, and I always remind him how wonderful chiropractic was when he was 4 years old.
